A Theory on Those who Dislike Cats

I’m a big fan of cats. I love cats. I even have a cat ring.

Exhibit A:

Over the years of observing cats and interacting with them, one thing is for certain – they do what they want. That, in a nutshell, is why I love them. They are not looking for your approval, they simply are who they are. Cats do not care if that bothers you.

Cats will not let you define how they should love you.

Liking or disliking cats can easily translate into the behavior of human beings and the relationships they prefer with other people. My theory is if someone does not like cats, they are not comfortable with another who asserts their independence. Additionally, if they are more a fan of dogs, they prefer those who will search for their approval and behave in a way that meet their needs. They prefer to maintain a certain level of control. I cannot begin to tell you how many times my theory has been proven to be true in everyday life.

Why this theory holds true for me is because I love allowing others the freedom to be who they are. I love seeing others follow their own guidepost and do what they think or know to be right, just as I do myself.

I love independence. Cats love independence. So, it just works.
