There’s a reason for everything. Your intuition is always finding ways to show you the path you are supposed to take – your only job is to pay attention, observe, listen and then act. Reminiscing on the past shows me how my intuition has always been there for me, guiding the way:
- Having a medical issue when I was a teenager led to me turning inward for guidance and recognizing how my thinking patterns influence my physical health.
- My “fear” of public speaking showed me that a traditional academic route was not the way to go. I always remember saying that if what I was speaking about actually meant something to me, maybe I wouldn’t be so afraid..
- My abhorrence to the air conditioning in the offices I worked in told me that I should not be working in a role that is bound to an office; or perhaps that I should be working from a home office.
- Not resonating with others’ job titles was trying to tell me that a traditional corporate company was not the place for me.
Don’t get me wrong, I do not regret or despise those experiences. There are no mistakes in life – only lessons learned. However, the longer you resist what your intuition is trying to tell you, the harder it will get. Believe me, I know! In order to do our best work we need to open ourselves up to the infinite possibilities life has to offer.
Think back – in what ways has it seemed like life was working against you? What was it in yourself that was making it so hard? What is it in you NOW that is making it so hard? Those answers will show you the direction you are supposed to be moving in. I challenge you to discover those little ways your intuition is speaking to you, and to take one small step in that direction. What have you got to lose?
