The Consequence of Silence

It’s unfortunate hearing people complain about others expressing their political views. As if it is a better choice to remain silent. Granted, some of the online posts can get out of hand – however, a choice to be indifferent is a choice to do nothing. That is not a choice I am willing to make.silence

To me, this election is no longer about politics; it is about human decency. It is about respecting one another regardless of our race, religion or gender.

Late author, political activist and Holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel once said: “The opposite of love is not hate, it’s indifference.”

I choose to stand with love. And I choose to give a voice to that stance – respectfully, of course.
